At Gritty Kids LLC, we prioritize the privacy and well-being of children using our products and services, including our App. We implement multiple safeguards to protect children and only collect personal information when voluntarily provided by their parents or guardians. We ensure that parents have access to and control over the information they provide.
At Gritty Kids LLC (“Gritty Kids”, “we”, or “us”), we cherish the trust you place in us and are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable online environment for family members of all ages.
The App is owned and operated by One4Yes, LLC (“One4Yes”) under an official license from Gritty Kids. References in this policy to “we” or “us” in connection with the App therefore include One4Yes acting as the operator under that license. One4Yes handles the information practices described below on the same terms.
This privacy policy applies to our mobile application (the “App”), our website, and any other interactions you may have with us, covering our handling of personal information concerning identifiable individuals. This policy does not cover anonymous or business information.
The policy is applicable globally, with additional details provided for residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and California.
By using our App, our website, or sharing information with us, you consent to the information handling practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not collect biometric or health data, nor personal information about your child through our App, unless you, as their parent or guardian, voluntarily provide it.
We collect limited usage information when you, as a parent, download and use the App. We generally do not require personal information about your child, and the App does not ask for any name, email address, age, photo, or other personal detail about you or your child in order to play.
When you subscribe for services through our App, Apple or Google may share information with us if you have consented to that sharing through your App Store or Google Play account. We may collect additional information if you contact our support team or otherwise communicate with us about the App.
Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store on iOS and through Google Play on Android. We do not collect or see your payment information. We only receive a unique anonymous Subscriber ID issued by Apple or Google, along with the receipt and entitlement information needed to grant access to subscription content.
We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to validate purchases and manage subscription entitlements inside the App. The RevenueCat software development kit (SDK) embedded in the App independently transmits the following to RevenueCat’s servers when you interact with subscriptions: an anonymous RevenueCat-issued user identifier, the App Store or Google Play purchase receipt for the transaction, your current subscription and entitlement status, the product identifier and price, your device model, operating system version, App version, language, and country. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, payment card details, or any information about your child. RevenueCat’s use of this information is governed by its own privacy policy.
The App does not collect device serial numbers, advertising identifiers (Apple’s IDFA, Google’s Advertising ID / AAID), the Android Build Serial, MAC address, IMEI, or any other persistent platform-issued hardware identifier.
To group anonymous analytics events from the same installation of the App, we generate a random universally unique identifier (a UUID, which we call the “install ID”) the first time the App launches and store it in the App’s local storage on the device. The install ID is not tied to your subscription, your Apple or Google account, your device, or any personal information. It is reset automatically when the App is uninstalled, and a new random ID is generated on reinstall.
We also record the operating system the App is running on (“ios” or “android”) so we can interpret usage trends. This is not a personal identifier.
The App sends anonymous gameplay events to our own servers (operated for us by One4Yes) so we can understand how the App is used and improve it. These events are not linked to any identifiable individual. The fields we record for each event are:
We do not collect anything about who the player is, what they look or sound like, where they are, what they type, or what is on their device. We do not use this information to advertise to you or your child, and we do not sell it.
The App can send occasional push notifications about the service, for example a reminder that a free trial is ending or a notice that a new puzzle pack has been added. The first time you open the App, the operating system will ask whether you want to allow notifications. You may decline, and you can change your choice at any time in your device’s Settings.
If you allow notifications, the App receives a push notification token from Apple or Google and sends that token, along with the anonymous install ID and platform described above, to our own servers (operated for us by One4Yes) so we can deliver notifications to the App. The token is an opaque identifier issued by Apple or Google. It is not a name, email, age, or any other personal information about you or your child. It is reset when the App is uninstalled or notifications are disabled, and we delete tokens that the push service reports as no longer valid.
We use push notifications only for service messages of the kind described above. We do not use them for marketing to children, and we do not share or sell push tokens.
We want to be explicit about what the App does not access or transmit. The App does not collect or transmit:
The App also does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs (such as Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, PostHog, or Datadog).
We may collect personal information through your interactions with our website or our social media accounts, for example if you submit a contact form or send us a message. This information helps us communicate with you, provide information you have requested, and understand usage of our website for analytics and ordinary business operations.
On our website we use cookies and Google Analytics to understand visitor behavior and improve our marketing. Google Analytics is used only on the website. It is not embedded in the App, and no Google Analytics data is collected from children using the App.
We do not sell or lease personal information. We may share information with affiliates and service providers that help us operate the business (including One4Yes as the operator of the App under license, our hosting and infrastructure providers, RevenueCat for subscription management as described above, and Apple and Google for payment processing), for legal reasons, or in response to lawful requests from authorities.
We collect and use your information with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can stop all gameplay analytics by uninstalling the App, which deletes the anonymous install ID from your device.
You have control over the information you provide and can manage subscription settings at any time through the Subscriptions area of your Apple ID or Google account. You may also contact us at any time to ask what information we hold and to request changes or deletion.
Your information may be accessible to law enforcement authorities outside your jurisdiction.
We protect your information with stringent security measures and retain it only as long as necessary.
You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App from your device. This removes the anonymous install ID and any other locally stored data. For questions about data deletion, contact us at app@grittykids.com.
You may request access to and correction of any personal information we hold.
Residents of the EU and California have additional rights regarding their personal information.
For any questions or concerns about our privacy practices, please contact us. For app specific questions, contact app@grittykids.com. For all other inquiries, contact info@grittykids.com.
We may update this policy and will notify you of any changes that affect parental consent requirements.
